When Hynos upset Zeus by making him fall to sleep (allowing Hera to punish Hercules) the god of thunder was ready to smite Hypnos until h fled to his mother, Nyx. The was the mother of Hypnos (after whom we have the word hypnosis) and Thanatos (god death – or a cool Gargoyles villain) She may not have shown up a lot, but when she did she made her presence known. It is most likely a reference to the greek goddess Nyx, who was the goddess of the night. (Presumably until someone makes a Journey into Nyx later on in the block.) This is best represented by the gods and their enchantments being shaded in with star fields, the likes of which would make Donna Troy jealous.
